Antique 1879 Vapo-Cresolene Vaporizer Kerosene Oil Lamp Medical Cure w/Box

Description

Although listed as an oil lamp these were never used for this purpose and are, in fact, mini vaporizers used in the treatment of whooping cough and other respiratory ailments.
It is missing, pan.
The frame is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or breaks.
The chimney is original Clear glass  with no discolouration, cracks or breaks. It does have some chips in the bottom rim.
The burner is fully functional and close to immaculate.  NEED a new wick.
The fount which is in excellent condition shows little or negligible signs of wear/use.
This quaint little vaporizer stands 160mm (6 1/4“) tall.
