ACOUSTIC RESEARCH AR-6 NEW CROSSOVER KIT - LATE 1975, AUSTRALIA AND EUROPE

A new crossover capacitor kit for one Acoustic Research AR-6 speaker. Speakers produced and sold in the US utilized one capacitor. We have found that exports to Australia and Europe utilized two begininng 1975.
This kit is not for US AR-6 speakers. Most AR-6 speakers shipped to Europe and Australia, beginning 1975, utilized this set of crossover capacitors. For assurance of what you have, we suggest you open the speaker prior to placing an order. If you see two capacitors, this is your kit. If you see only one, order the Standard US kit.
This replaces the old original capacitors which may have failed or shifted in value over the years. Two kits are required for a pair of speakers.

A schematic diagram is included to assist with the change out.
Match up the values and replace the capacitors one at a time. Cut the leads on the old capacitor and using the wire nuts included, connect the new capacitor leads to those cut leads. No soldering is required.
You will need to remove the woofer for this installation. We suggest you purchase a package of cabinet sealer in Dept. OTHER SPEAKER SERVICE PARTS. AR speakers are acoustic suspension and rely on a tightly sealed cabinet for those low bass notes they are famous for
